  • Dear Friend,

With Rosh Hashana right around the corner, our health and safety and the welfare of the world at large, will be in our prayers as we seek blessings for the new year of 5781.

What an unusual year it has been. We hope are managing through the new "normal". We are all trying to cope with the pandemic, being home, zoom schooling, etc. But some of us need more support. I’m hoping you are in a position to help those who need it most.

People like Gary, who called me as I was on my way to his house to deliver homemade chicken soup. In a soft voice he told me his mother had just passed away from the virus. As I pulled up to the house, I could see Gary and wife standing inside. I stayed at the end of the driveway. We stood apart but we cried together. Gary was unable to attend his mother’s funeral in person, but at least he and his family were able to zoom in.

Or Roz, a woman, who lives in assisted living. Altie and her volunteers painted pots and brought flowers to her and many of our local seniors. Here is a note we received: “Dear Altie and my Chabad family ....... I thank you for your kindness, caring, effort and the gorgeous flowers in the hand painted flowerpot . Please let the children know how they brightened “Bubbe” Raisele‘s life. With enormous appreciation and love for all of you.”

Or Jonathan, who ran a small successful business, but lost it all in a matter of weeks and now had to find new ways to support his small but growing family.

We all depend on community. It gives us meaning. It gives us strength. You can help us create a close community even when we need to be physically apart. Your membership dues and your financial support makes it all possible.

When you pay your family or individual membership you will bring love, connection, and friendship. Your dues will be put to good use. Every penny. Every dollar. Every heart. Every Soul.

We were unable to host our annual dinner fundraiser this spring. So, if you can give more, please do. We need your help now, more than ever. Dues and pledges may be paid below.

With warm wishes for a healthy and sweet New Year,

    Rabbi Mendy & Altie Kasowitz

PS. This year, services will certainly look and feel different. We will host indoor and outdoor (under a tent in the parking lot) services and additional shofar blowing services outdoors. Please click here for schedule and current information.
